Located in Waveney Valley, there is a lot for you to do all around. You can start your day by going on long walks in the countryside where you will get to see some of the greatest Norfolk architecture and then end it by relaxing at the beach which is quite close by.
Our cottages are made of converted barns but we have retained most of the original architecture so that our clients can enjoy a true rustic feeling. That said, we have installed everything that you need to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, a fully stocked bathroom and our bedrooms are designed to offer world class comfort. We have also installed hot tubs and barbecues to ensure that you have a range of activities that you can indulge in.
Those who want to explore local tourist attractions are in for a great time – we are surrounded by some of the best in the area. Somerleyton Hall and Gardens would be a good place to start; it is a beautiful 5,000 acre estate where you can see true British architecture. Southwold is just a 30 minute ride away and you can visit Adnams, the famous brewery. If you like medieval architecture you can head for Norwich which is just 18 miles away – it has a castle, a museum, a cathedral as well as a historic market where you can buy gifts to take back home. Do you like adrenaline-filled activities? Drive just 8 miles from Wheatacre hall Barns for parachuting and skydiving. These are just a few of the things that you can do during your stay with us.
As 4th generation famers in the area, we know that it is in our interest to do our part for the environment. Our policy is to deliver environmental benefits where we can find them. We are members of the High Level Stewardship scheme, we have planted thousands of acres of hedgerow, hundreds of trees, we feed birds in the winter and much, much more. You are welcome to see any of these projects during your stay.
For supplies for our guests we have partnered with Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and ASDA for online delivery. Just shop online and then let them know that they should deliver to us; your supplies will be in your cottage in advance of your arrival. For those who don’t want to prepare their own meals there are meals available through Country Cuisine. You can order as you make payment or you can order during your stay but please give us 24 hours notice.
